An itinerary on the left bank of the Arno, to discover wonders such as San Miniato, Palazzo Pitti and Santo Spirito
The visit starts from Piazzale Michelangelo, with its superb view over the city and it continues with the ancient Abbey of San Miniato al Monte, founded in 1018 to host the order of the Benedictine monks.
Then we will descend towards the city reaching San Niccolò district with its fourteenth-century tower and part of the Florentine walls. The tour heads towards the Ponte Vecchio, Florence’s first bridge, and arrives at Palazzo Pitti, the third Medici residence, with its 36 hectares of majestic Boboli Gardens, which lead up to the Forte di Belvedere (entrance to the Palace, the Gardens and the Fort not included).
We will end our tour crossing the typical Florentine alleys, to arrive at the church of Santo Spirito, designed by Filippo Brunelleschi and his last great work, in the homonymous square, one of the most animated and picturesque of the city.
I can also give you advice on where to eat or enjoy an aperitif to complete your tour.
