A museum unique in the world, created by Giorgio Vasari for the Duke Cosimo I de’Medici!
You will be able to discover with me the greatest masterpieces exhibited in this unique museum, the Uffizi Gallery. The building was created in 1560 by Giorgio Vasari for the Duke Cosimo I de Medici to house the Florentine magistrates and later transformed into a museum.
We will cross the history of art starting from the Middle Ages, continuing with the Renaissance, Mannerism, up to the 17th century thanks to artists such as Giotto, Masaccio, Botticelli, Leonardo, Michelangelo and Caravaggio. We will discover a private treasure chest inside the museum, the Tribune of Francis I, created by the Grand Duke for his most precious treasures and considered the first nucleus of the museum as we conceive it today.
We will learn the evolution of art with its symbols and hidden meanings in one of the most famous museums in the world!
