The city of Florence is deeply connected with the Medici family. Its patronage, was fundamental for the flourishing of the Renaissance and for the economic and cultural development of the city. The tour begins with the introduction to the most important family of Florence in the courtyard of their first palace, Palazzo Medici Riccardi, created in 1444 by Michelozzo for Cosimo il Vecchio. Then we will continue pasing by the Basilica of San Lorenzo and entering in the Medici Chapels, the burial place of the Medici Family. There we will be able to admire the splendid Chapel of the Princess covered in hard stones, and the famous New Sacristy created by Michelangelo. Then we will arrive at the family second palace, Palazzo Vecchio. From there we will walk towards Piazza Pitti, following the path of the Vasarian Corridor from the streets of Florence. The tour ends in the square of Palazzo Pitti, the third family residence, behind which the famous Boboli Gardens lay.
